WorkoutReviewGuy.com has been created with several objectives in mind.

Above all, I wanted to create a unique, no-nonsense zone where I could serve as your workout review specialist, thru daily blog posts and videos.

Why do so many people struggle with getting in shape, finding the right program for their goals, and staying motivated ?

There are so many variables – and too often success is stubbornly elusive.

I’m a bit old school in my aversion to workout fads, but keenly interested in the scientific evidence that unlocks the body’s ability to reach its potential. Everyone has different body types, problem areas, scheduling challenges & motivational minefields that plague them.
Not to mention a wide spectrum of personal fitness goals.

Lets face it, the proper motivation & mind set is as critical as the workout regimen you decide to follow.

Ultimately, when you really get down to it, your goals need to inspire you…and its got to be fun.

Yep that’s right…f – u – n.    If it isn’t…sooner or later you will find a way to sabotage yourself…and be right back to square one.

We want to break that cycle. Your success depends on it.

Working out & staying fit is like anything else in life, its about creating momentum & sustaining it.

We will explore ways of sidestepping these mental pitfalls, and keeping the journey engaging.

The mind is a funny thing…its not user friendly, and never came with an owners manual.

Human nature dictates that all of us will do far more to avoid perceived pain than we will do to achieve pleasure. Staying in shape is not about endless, monotonous hours in the gym & looking at the clock, waiting to be “sprung ” from the drudgery. Remember when you were a kid, and couldn’t wait for recess ?   We want to link the right program for your goals with your hidden passion to succeed.

Someone once gave me great advice– ” You always cut down more trees, if occasionally you stop to sharpen your ax “… I want this site to show you different avenues that will allow you to reach your individual goals. If you are armed with high quality information, you will be able to find your way.

My background includes over 20 years of martial arts experience, with a black belt in Hap Ki Do from Grandmaster Bong Soo Han ( of Billy Jack fame ). I learned a lot of fundamental truths that translate to anyone in their pursuit of excellence. He once told me something so simple that it is profound… “If you can just accomplish just this one thing, imagine what else you could accomplish” .

This is about making this happen right now, more powerfully than you ever dreamed of — and having fun in the pursuit. If you are to succeed this is essential. Someone once said,

“Whether you believe you can, or you can’t, if you believe it…you’re right”   The past does not equal the future. Too often, people are not lazy, they just have impotent goals, that is, goals that do not inspire them. My mission is to break that cycle. We want to provide you with solid fundamentals, along with hidden tricks of success, with cutting edge programs that catapult your success into reality.

There is a lot of pitfalls along the way…lets avoid them.

Do you know people that spend hundreds of dollars a month on a personal trainer, and then sabotage their efforts with the wrong diet ?
I do, and perhaps you do too.

This isn’t brain surgery…yet without solid fundamental direction, people spin their wheels.

We want to create a new reality here. If you’ve failed before, or just not known the way to achieve success this space is about changing that old cycle. And most importantly, I want you to have fun along the way.

This is a marathon run, not a sprint. We want you to train properly…and avoid injury.
